PEANUT BUTTER KISSES 
1 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 c. Jif creamy peanut butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
3 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Granulated sugar for rolling
72-90 milk chocolate kisses or stars, unwrapped

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine butter flavor Crisco, peanut butter, brown sugar and 1 cup sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in eggs, vanilla and milk.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended. Dough will be stiff. From dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Press milk chocolate kiss into center of each cookie. Return to oven. Bake 3 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack. Makes 6-7 1/2 dozen cookies.
