CAROL'S CREAM CHEESE COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder

ICING:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter, softened
1/8 tsp. almond extract
1-2 tbsp. milk
Tint with food coloring

Cream sugar, butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and almond. Beat until smooth. Add flour and baking powder. Divide into thirds. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll out dough and cut out cookies.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Mix together icing ingredients until smooth. Tint with food coloring. Ice cookies.
