1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. and 2 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs
2 c. peanut butter
3/4 tsp. white corn syrup
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
4 1/2 c. reg. oatmeal
2 tsp. salt
6 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. raisins (optional)

Cream butter, add sugar and beat well at medium speed with electric mixer. Add eggs, peanut butter, syrup, vanilla and beat well again. Add oats, soda, salt and stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Dough will be stiff.

Pat dough into 1/4 measuring cup. Pat onto greased cookie sheet, press into 3 (1/2 inch) circles. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool before removing from cookie sheet. Center will be soft in the middle.
