ORIENTAL BEEF STEAK STRIPS 
2 lb. round steak, cut 1 inch thick
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1/3 c. soy sauce
2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. minced garlic
3 carrots, sliced
2 green peppers, cut in 1 inch squares
8 green onions, 1 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 lb. mushroom halves
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnut halves
2 tsp. cornstarch

Brown meat in cooking oil. Add rest of ingredients. Cook 45 minutes. Serve over rice.
