PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 c. raw peanuts
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter

Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to 280 degrees, medium crack stage. Add peanuts. Cook about 3 minutes, or until light golden brown. Add soda. Remove at once from heat. Add vanilla and butter. As soon as foaming has subsided, pour candy into greased shallow pan in a thin layer. When cooled, break into pieces. Breaks better if broken from back side.
