16 to 20 large cucumbers 7 c. sugar 7 c. water 7 c. vinegar 7 tsp. canning salt 1/2 tsp. turmeric Slice cucumbers lengthwise. Pack in clean jars with dill (lots). Combine remaining ingredients; heat to a boil. Let cool to lukewarm and pour over cucumbers. Put in cold pack; add cold water to cover jars. Just bring to boil and remove jars, immediately. |
