WILD SHORTCAKE 
CAKE:

2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. milk

Mix first 4 ingredients together. Work in butter. Lightly mix in milk to make a soft dough. Roll out and cut into circles of the desired size. Bake on cookie sheet in 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until golden.

FILLING:

Use sugared fresh fruits or berries, or cook fruit until soft; sweeten (approximately 1 cup sugar to 1 quart fruit). Thicken with flour if necessary. Spread fruit between layers of shortcake. Top with whipped topping or pour cream over the shortcake.
