TOSTADO 
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 1/2 lb. ground round steak, chili cut
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. ground cumin seed
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. Accent
2 tbsp. sugar, or Sweet and Low; use less
2 tbsp. butter or oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce with 4 1/2 cans water
3 sm. cans tomato paste

Saute onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons butter or oil. Put skillet on high, brown meat fast until grey. Combine all ingredients. Simmer 1 hour, stirring often. Put on tostado with toppings of lettuce, tomatoes, grated cheese, sour cream (or yogurt), onions, peppers, olives, refried beans, wedges of avocado, etc. Serves 8.
