JAM CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. jam
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Stir all dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk and jam. Pour into tube pan and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
