NEW ENGLAND PUMPKIN PIE 
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. scalded milk
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1 egg, beaten

Roll dough and line 9 inch pie plate. Combine sugar, salt, flour, spices and pumpkin and mix well. Add beaten egg and milk, cool. Pour mixture in pie shell. Bake in hot oven 450 degrees, for 30 to 40 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

(I usually put in 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice instead of measuring out all those spices. If I have them, also sprinkle raw sunflower seeds over top before baking.)
