HOT MULLED WINE 
1 c. sugar
3 c. boiling water
1/2 grated lemon rind
18 whole cloves
4 to 5 sticks of cinnamon
2 qt. burgundy

Mix all ingredients with boiling water, stir and bring just to a boil again. Strain and serve while hot.

Serves 10 to 15. Delicious holiday drink. Most of alcohol evaporates in cooking.
