BAKERY FROSTING 
2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

In pan heat until thickened to paste the flour and milk. Cool to lukewarm. Cream shortening, sugar and salt; add paste and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
