1 (8 oz.) pkg. Oreo cookies
1/4 c. butter
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 c. salted peanuts

Crush cookies well; add melted butter and press on bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Spread slightly whipped ice cream over cookie mixture. Top with peanuts. Freeze 1 hour.

Topping:

1/2 c. butter
2 c. evaporated milk
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chocolate chips

Combine topping ingredients in a saucepan. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside to cool. Spread over peanut ice cream mixture and serve.
