ONION-MUSHROOM SAUTE 
Chopped garlic - amount according to taste
Equal amounts sliced yellow onions and fresh mushrooms
Olive oil - amount varies with amount of garlic and onions
Salt to taste
Garlic toast pieces or garlic bread

(Can be substituted with drained mushrooms).

(Enough to cover bottom of pan generously).

Saute garlic in olive oil, add sliced onions, mushrooms and salt. Saute on a low flame until onions and mushrooms are fully cooked. The longer the better without burning. Serve immediately with garlic toast pieces or just plain Italian bread.

Note: The above recipe is very versatile. It can be used as above or it makes a delicious but simple topping for hot pasta.
