LEMON CAKE | |
1 box Betty Crocker lemon cake mix 1 pkg. instant lemon pudding 4 eggs 3/4 c. Crisco oil 3/4 c. water Pinch salt Beat well with electric mixer. Pour into 9"x13" pan, greased and floured. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. When done, prick clear through, all over top with fork, making the holes close together. While cake is baking, mix 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, scant 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice, 2 tablespoons oil and pinch of salt. Mix until all lumps are gone. Pour over hot cake and rub in with back of spoon. Will get hard and glossy. |
