CHERRY FUDGE 
1 c. Half & Half
4 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. marshmallow creme
1 c. pecan halves
1/2 c. coarsely chopped maraschino cherries

Bring to a boil over moderate heat until sugar dissolves the Half & Half, sugar, corn syrup, salt, vinegar and butter. Stir constantly. Reduce to low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally until mixture reaches soft ball stage. Remove from heat and set pan in cold water. Cool to lukewarm. Then add vanilla and marshmallow creme. Beat until mixture loses its gloss, then add pecan halves and cherries. Beat until fudge is almost ready to set. Place mixture in well buttered pan.
