DATE PUDDING 
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. nut meats (chopped)
1 c. dates (chopped)
1 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. water
2 c. brown sugar
3 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. butter

Mix first list of ingredients together in a batter. Place in cake pan. Pour over this mixture the hot syrup made from the second list of ingredients. Cook at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
