BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
1/4 c. shortening, melted
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1 pkg. butterscotch chips

Stir sugar into hot melted shortening and let cool. Then add eggs and beat. Stir dry ingredients together and stir in. Add vanilla, nuts and butterscotch chips. Spread into well greased 8x8x2 inch pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, at 350 degrees. Cut into squares while hot. (Will be soft at first).
