PERFECT PIE CRUST | |
2 c. sifted plain flour 1 c. Crisco 1 tsp. salt 1 c. ice water Cut Crisco into flour and salt until well-coated. Beat 1 egg in measuring cup and add ice water to equal 1/2 cup. Add 2 teaspoons vinegar. Add to flour mixture and mix until all flour is moist. Chill. Divide dough into 4 balls. Roll ball to desired size of pan on floured wax paper. Unused portion may be frozen for future use. Makes 4 (9 inch) crusts. The frozen crust will roll and handle better than when it is first mixed. |
