HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
3 slices bacon or 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
Frankfurters or German sausage cut in slices
4 med. potatoes, boiled in jackets & sliced
1/2 c. chopped onion
5-6 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. celery seeds
2/3 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar

Fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble. Brown sausage or frankfurters in skillet in bacon drippings or oil. Add onions. Cook until brown. Blend in flour and seasonings. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Stir in water and vinegar. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir potatoes and bacon in carefully. Serve warm.
