CHEESE PUFFS 
1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, separated
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 c. finely chopped chutney

Cocktail rye or 24 buttered crackers

Mix cheese, baking powder, and egg yolks.

Fold in stiffly beaten whites. Mix bacon and chutney. Place a mound of bacon on each cracker (or rye bread). Cover ENTIRE cracker with cheese mixture.

Broil until delicately browned and puffed. Serve immediately.
