AUNT ANN'S BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour, sifted
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. cold water
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. cocoa or 2 sq. melted Baker's chocolate

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and cocoa. Alternate water, sifted flour, vanilla, and nuts. Bake in moderate oven (325-350 degrees) for 25 minutes. Use an 8-inch square pan, greased.
