DOVES 
14-16 doves
Salt and pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion (preferably green onions)
1/4 c. chopped parsley
Flour
1/2 c. salad oil
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sherry

Salt, pepper, and flour doves. Brown in oil in heavy roaster at 400 degrees. Add chopped onions and water. Cover. Reduce heat to 350 degrees; cook until tender. Add sherry and baste during cooking. Add chopped parsley to gravy before serving. Serves 6-8.
