CHOCOLATE CHIP WALNUT CAKE
1 egg
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 c. flour (sifted)
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients except for nuts and chips. Pour into 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and walnuts on top of cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 35 to 45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

An easier or faster way is to get a chocolate cake or 2 brownie mix and follow package directions then add chopped nuts and chocolate chips to top of batter. Both ways are delicious.

Chocolate Chip Walnut Cake

Used this recipe to make a great cake but used an 11x8 pan. The cake was delicious but a bit dry. I was a little short on chips and walnuts, but it was still more than sufficient topping for he cake. The chocolate chips on the top will stick to your toothpick and look just like the cake.

Hi Stan,

If the cake was a little dry, try baking it for a few minutes less next time. Some ovens run a bit hotter than others!

Happy Baking,
