2 c. sugar
1 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Mix sugar and 1/2 cup water in saucepan. Boil rapidly for exactly 1 minute. Pour over peanut butter and vanilla in bowl. Beat until thick. Pour into buttered pan, cut into squares when cool.

Note: May add 3 tablespoons cocoa with sugar to make chocolate fudge.
