OLD FASHIONED COCONUT CAKE 
2 2/3 c. sifted cake flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs, separatedc. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
3/4 c. shredded coconut, fresh or packaged
1/4 tsp. salt

Sift together flour, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cream butter until soft, add sugar gradually. Cream together until very light. Beat in one at a time, 4 egg yolks. Add vanilla. Add flour and milk alternately to the creamed mixture. Bake at 305 degrees.
