SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS 
1 can tomato paste, per person
1 can tomato sauce, per person
3 tbsp. sugar, per can of paste & sauce
1 lg. onion, chopped
3 toes garlic, chopped
3 bay leaves
1 tsp. oregano
Salt & pepper to taste

Fry onion and garlic in oil until clear. Add paste and sauce; stir well. Add sugar, salt and pepper. Add enough water to make thin sauce. Add bay leaves and oregano. Cook slowly for 5 hours, adding more water if necessary. When gravy is cooked, it should be medium thick.

MEATBALLS:

Ground meat
2 slices bread, dampened, per lb. of ground meat
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 garlic toe, chopped fine
2 lb. grated cheese (Italian)
2 eggs
Salt & pepper to taste

Mix ingredients together and form into balls. Fry until lightly brown. Add to sauce 2 hours before sauce is done.
