1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. brown sugar 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten 1 c. flour 1/2 c. walnuts, ground 1/2 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar until light. Add egg yolk and mix well. Add vanilla and sifted flour. Roll dough into small ball and dip into egg white which has been slightly beaten. Roll in walnuts. Put on greased baking sheet and press down center with handle of knife. Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes or until light brown. While still warm, put apple jelly in each center. |
