SALAD DRESSING (MIRACLE WHIP)
CAKE
 
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. salad dressing (not mayonnaise)
1 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
1 1/3 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix first 4 ingredients. Add water and mix well. Add flour and vanilla. Pour into 9 x 13 inch greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Make frosting.

Frosting: butter and egg yolks must be room temperature. Combine evaporated milk, butter, sugar, vanilla and egg yolks in 2 quarts saucepan. Cook over medium heat (stirring occasionally) until thick about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Add coconut and nuts.
