MOM'S STREUSEL NOODLE KUGEL (Casserole) | |
1/2 lb. egg noodles 3/4 stick butter 13 oz. cream cheese 1/2 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 c. milk 1 c. apricot juice 1-2 c. white or dark raisins TOPPING: 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. crushed corn flakes 1/4 c. melted butter Cook noodles according to directions. Stir in butter. Mix cream cheese and sugar together. Beat eggs and add to cheese mixture, adding milk and apricot juice. Put noodles in a well greased pan. Pour mixture over noodles (it will be very loose). Stir in raisins. Mix sugar and cinnamon with butter and work in crushed corn flakes for streusel topping. Cover top of noodles with the mixture. Bake at 325 degrees, 45-60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before cutting. Great with poultry or fish! |
