FRYING PAN SUPPER 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. shortening
3 stalks celery, chopped
2 lg. onions, sliced
2-3 potatoes, cut into strips
2 c. shredded cabbage
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water

Brown beef in shortening, stirring frequently. Add layers of vegetables. Sprinkle with salt. Add water. Cover tightly and simmer 15 minutes, or until veggies are tender. Add slightly more water if needed.

Making this now. It smells really good. I did add garlic and onion powder. This is comfort food my great grandma use to cook.
