MUSHROOM STEW 
2 1/2 to 3 lb. pork steak or veal
3 med. onions
1 lg. & 1 sm. can Hunt's tomato sauce
4 good size green peppers
3 to 4 stalks celery
1 lg. & 1 sm. can mushrooms

Cut steak or veal into cubes. Brown onions (cut up) and meat lightly in a deep pan, cover with water. (Just enough to cover meat.) Season and cook slowly, about 20 minutes. Add tomato sauce, peppers (cut up), celery (cut up) and mushrooms (drained). Cook slowly for at least 1 1/2 hours. Taste and cook longer, if necessary. Keep stirring, as it may stick. Serve plain or on Italian bread or rolls.
