MUSHROOM STEW 
2-3 pieces garlic
1/4 c. oil
1 lb. pork, cubed
1 lb. beef, cubed
1 lg. can mushrooms
3-4 green peppers, sliced
2 bay leaves
1 lg. can tomatoes, chopped
1/2 tsp. sugar
Salt & pepper to taste

Brown garlic in oil. Add meat, cook for 10-15 minutes. Then add green peppers, mushrooms, bay leaves, tomatoes and simmer about 2 hours or until meat is tender and sauce slightly thickens. Serve over rice, noodles or Italian bread.
