NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
4 c. sifted flour
1 3/4 c. shortening
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. water

Mix first 4 ingredients in separate pan. Heat last 3 ingredients. Combine the 2 mixtures and stir with a fork until all are mixed.

Makes two 2 crust pies. Will keep in refrigerator almost indefinitely.
