CHICKEN TETRAZZINI | |
4 chicken breasts 1 lg. onion, chopped 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese 1/2 stick butter 1 sm. container sour cream 1 lg. jar sliced mushrooms 1 c. celery, chopped 1 sm. jar diced pimentos 1 (12 oz.) pkg. spaghetti 1 sm. jar Cheez Whiz 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup Jalapeno slices (optional) Boil chicken with onions. In small pan, cook celery and green pepper. When chicken is done, remove from pan, saving the broth, cool, debone and cube. Add spaghetti to chicken broth and cook until tender. Drain. To celery/green pepper mixture, add soups, mushrooms, pimentos, Cheez Whiz and sour cream. Mix everything together in large pan. Pour into large casserole dish. Bake without grated cheese for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven. Add grated cheese and bake until cheese is melted. Top with jalapeno slices if desired. |
