DANISH PUFF 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. water, cold
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
3 eggs
Sugar glaze & nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons water over mixture and round into a ball. Divide dough in half. On a baking sheet, press dough into 2 strips (12 x 3 inches).

Heat 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup flour to rolling boil. Remove from heat and quickly stir in extract and 1 cup flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until it forms a ball. Remove from heat and add all 3 eggs at once. Stir until dough is smooth and glossy.

Spread evenly over strips. Bake 60 minutes or until crisp and brown. Cool. Spread confectioners' sugar glaze over cooled crust and sprinkle with nuts. Makes 10-12.
