BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER IN
CHEESE SAUCE
 
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. frozen broccoli spears
1 pkg. frozen cauliflower
6 slices American cheese
2 tbsp. flour
2 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. milk

Cook broccoli and cauliflower, following directions on package. Drain and set aside. In medium saucepan, melt butter, add flour, stirring until forms a smooth paste. Cook on low heat, until flour bubbles but don't brown.

Then cool slightly and add milk slowly, stirring constantly until blended. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 6 or more slices of cheese broken in small pieces. Keep stirring until it becomes a thickened cheese sauce. Pour over vegetables and gently fold together. (You may wish to slice vegetables into small pieces ahead of time.)
