OVEN STEAMED RICE 
3 c. rice
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
7 c. boiling water
1 stick butter (more or less to taste)

Combine rice, salt and pepper in a 9 x 13 inch pan, ungreased. Dot the top with butter and pour boiling water over top. Stir until butter is melted. Cover and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Do not peek or stir.

Serves 12 to 15.
