MOM'S MEATLOAF 
1 1/2-2 lbs. ground chuck
3/4 c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. plus 1/2 c. ketchup
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
1 egg, slightly beaten

Combine all ingredients except 1/2 cup ketchup in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly. Press into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Mold into a 10 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch loaf, leaving approximately 2 inches around meatloaf. Spread on remaining ketchup on top. Add approximately 1 cup of water to pan to prevent scorching. Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1 1/4 hours or until done. Let set in pan for 5 minutes before slicing.
