CHOCOLATE FUDGE NUT SHEET CAKE 
1 stick butter
3 1/2 tsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk

Set the oven at 400 degrees, grease and flour a 15"x10"x1" pan. Put butter, cocoa, water and Crisco in pan and bring to a boil. Put flour and sugar together and sift. Mix the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and then add the rest of the ingredients. Pour in pan and bake 20 minutes. Have icing ready and ice cake immediately after removing from oven, leaving the whole thing in the pan.

ICING:

1 stick butter
2 1/2 tsp. cocoa
6 tsp. buttermilk

Stir constantly and bring to a good boil. Add 1 box sifted powdered sugar, 1 cup pecans and 2 teaspoons vanilla. If icing is too thick to spread easily, dip knife in a glass of hot water while icing the cake.
