2 yeast cakes
1 c. milk, scalded
1/4 c. water

Let milk cool; mix water and milk together. Then add yeast cakes and let dissolve. To milk mixture, add:

2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening, melted
4 c. flour

Mix welll and turn out on floured board and knead wel. Put into container and let rise to double in size. This dough may be used to make hot rolls, coffee cake, cinnamon rolls or kolaches.
