PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL BARS 
1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. baking soda
2 heaping c. flour
2 heaping c. quick oats
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt

Mix well. Bake in 2 greased 9"x13" pans at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

ICING:

For each pan. 1/4 c. cocoa powder 3 tbsp. melted butter 2-3 tbsp. boiling water 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. butter 1 c. confectioners' sugar 3-4 tsp. milk

Make 2 separate recipes. Beat together 2 cups confectioners' sugar, cocoa, 3 tablespoons melted butter, boiling water and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread quickly on cool pan. Then heat and stir 2 tablespoons butter until golden brown. Add 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Stir in 3 to 4 teaspoons milk and drizzle over frosting. Cut into bars.
