DOUBLE CHOCOLATE BLACK-EYED
SUSANS
 
1 pkg. marble cake mix
1 egg
1/3 c. oil
4 tbsp. water, divided
1 c. miniature chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease lightly cookie sheets. Combine cake mix, egg, oil and 3 tablespoons water. Mix with spoon until thoroughly blended. Stir in miniature chips.

Measure out 2/3 cup batter and into it blend in chocolate packet from cake mix and remaining 1 teaspoon water. Set aside.

Drop vanilla batter by rounded teaspoons on cookie sheet. Gently press with thumb to indent slightly. Drop half teaspoon of chocolate batter on top of each cookie. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet onto wire rack. About 3 dozen cookies.
