MANICOTTI-CHEESE BAKE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. minced onion
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
1 1/3 c. tomato paste
4 c. water
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
18 manicotti shells
4 c. cottage cheese (lg. or sm. curd)
2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Brown meat, onions and green peppers; drain; add paste, water, salt, pepper and seasoning. Simmer 15 minutes. Par boil shells in salted water, drain on paper towels. Fill shells with cheese and cottage cheese mixture. Place in shallow baking dish and cover with sauce mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves 9.
