MICROWAVE BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 bunch fresh broccoli, cut into sm. pieces
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
2 c. water
2 tsp. chicken base or 6 tsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. half & half cream
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese

Place broccoli, onion, celery, water, bouillon, pepper and garlic powder in a 2-quart casserole. Cover and microwave on high 12-15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Transfer mixture to blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Return mixture to casserole. Mix together cream and flour until smooth. Stir into broccoli mixture and microwave on high uncovered 8-10 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens. Stir 2-3 times. Stir in lemon juice and Parmesan cheese. Serves 6.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
