POTLUCK POTATOES 
1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 tsp. salt
1 can cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 pt. sour cream
2 c. crushed cornflakes
1/4 c. butter, melted

Combine all ingredients except cornflakes and 1/4 cup butter. Mix well and pour into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Combine corn flakes and 1/4 cup butter. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
