MONIQUE PORTIERS' TEMPTATION
SPICE CAKE

2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves

Sift all of the ingredients above together into a large bowl, then add: 1 c. milk

Beat all of the above ingredients together for 2 minutes, then add: 3 eggs (lg.)

Now beat all of these ingredients together for another 2 minutes. Bake in 2 (8 inch) greased and floured pans at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or a bundt pan for 35 minutes or until done.

For all those people who enjoy sweets, this cake is nothing like you've ever eaten. It's simple, spicy, easy, and delectible. I promise you'll enjoy it! Heather will be the 4th generation in my family to get this recipe. I always believe in sharing good family recipes. For the 2 layer version of this cake, I suggest you frost it with a homemade white frosting or the bundt version, drizzle white icing over the top and let it flow. I myself prefer the bundt because of the easiness of it. Oh, I'm not lazy, I just have 3 children, 1 on the way, and a wonderful husband to care for, so I look for short cuts all the time.
