SUMMER SAUSAGE | |
2 lbs. ground beef 1 c. water 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 3 tbsp. Morton's Tender Quick Salt 1 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. mustard seed 2 tbsp. liquid smoke Combine ingredients and mix well. Do not substitute for the Morton's salt. Shape into 2 rolls, about 2 inches around. Wrap in foil, shiny side toward the meat. Refrigerate for 24 hours. Next day, poke holes in bottom of foil, roll using toothpick. Pour about 1/2 inch of water in bottom of broiler pan. Place meat on broiler rack and bake in 325 degree oven for 90 minutes. Serve hot or cold. |
