NAVY BEAN 
1 lb. Navy or Great Northern beans
1 lb. carrots
1 med. onion
4 oz. cooked, chopped bacon
2 stalks celery
2 tbsp. ham bouillon
Black pepper to taste
1 crushed garlic clove
1 gallon water

Simmer beans in water for 1 hour. Add chopped vegetables, bacon and bouillon. Simmer for an additional hour. Add black pepper to taste.
