2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat 1 egg in measuring cup and add water, if needed, to make 1/4 cup. Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, baking powder and salt (which has been sifted together) alternating with the liquid (egg/water and vanilla). Mix well and place in cookie press.

Using your favorite press, put cookies on an unbuttered cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Watch closely as they brown and burn fast. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
